Using Earth's Resources for Eco-Conscious Development

Signal One International Foundation
for Education and Outreach
As a private operating foundation, the Signal One International Foundation for Education and Outreach develops and implements its own technology-based education programs and outreach activities either independently or in partnership with other non-profit organizations or institutions. Projects vary in design and scope, all with the goal of advancing education, cultural heritage awareness, and supporting the betterment of individuals and society.
EDUCATION

The Signal One International Foundation for Education and Outreach aims to advance education in the arts, sciences, and cultural heritage with outreach programs that accelerate learning, increase retention and prepare engaged citizens.

We develop programs that use 3D visualization technology combined with interactive, immersive, and participatory activities for student education. For example, in development are study guides that connect current curricula with virtual museums featuring exhibits that employ 3D visualization using interactive and immersive technology. The foundation is also creating study guides accompanying the exhibits to share with public and private schools.

We partner with Real Earth Models, LLC (REM)  in developing cutting-edge technology to create 3D virtual environments that will expand opportunities for scientific, historical, cultural, and artistic enrichment for students anywhere, anytime. In addition, our technology and educational programs aim to make interactive learning experiences more entertaining and more inclusive for diverse ethnic and racial communities.

YOUTH ATHLETICS

Signal One International Foundation recognizes the value of participation in athletic activities in helping young people achieve a well-rounded education. Therefore, the Foundation seeks to promote athletic activities in schools and community centers in developing countries.

The Foundation endeavors to broaden youth athletic opportunities through improved sports facilities, athletic equipment, playfields, playgrounds, and programs that benefit boys and girls. In addition, the Foundation emphasizes sports programs and opportunities designed specifically for young girls. We promote sports programs designed to encourage perseverance, integrity, desire for accomplishment, a mindset for success, and various social skills, including teamwork, cooperation, good sportsmanship, and friendship.

Sports recreation and athletic opportunities contribute to young people's physical, mental, and social education. Therefore, the Foundation promotes youth sports and athletic activity to provide lifelong value for a broad and immediate enrichment experience.

3D VIRTUAL MUSEUMS

Signal One International Foundation creates and displays historical, archeological, and scientific exhibits to communities. Its exhibitions are virtual displays or museums that involve locations and artifacts of lasting interest or value designed to educate the public.

The museum exhibits we develop use computer-based virtual environments. These exhibits enable users to feel they are visiting the site featured. The goal is for an exhibition to provide an educational experience to users that they would otherwise not be able to experience due to an inability to travel to the actual site.

Online virtual museums, which employ 3D technology, are also being created by the Foundation. The online virtual museums will allow participants to observe the location and artifacts from all angles and perspectives as if they were actually at the site. In addition, the content of an online virtual museum will be accessible by educators who can then have the content projected into a classroom.
